Copyright trolls

Fighting the good fight.  In an evil way.

I know everyone already knows about this, but I just wanted to comment about it.  Who is worse; the pirates, who have full knowledge of the fact that they do not make any money, and yet are in fact stealing from content creators?  Or the copyright enforces like the recently defunct ACS:Law who make tons of cash from pirating?
"But the copyright enforcers aren't pirating!" you may say.
That is true, but they would not exist without piracy.  People pirate, they "sue" the pirates, and make money.  They are making money directly from the illegal distribution of copyrighted material, so how are they any better than the pirates?  Not to mention any "good" they do do is pretty much negated by the fact that they more often than not use illegal means such as ddos-es to achieve their ends.  THEN they use scare scams to make people pay up exorbitant amounts of money, and only ever go through with maybe 1 in 5000 lawsuits to scare everyone else into willingly paying up.  The way I see it, this is a no-win situation.

This post was kind of empty, but I just wanted to get something out there.

  1. People are starving for money, especially the government. They make a lot of money off of copywritten shit.
